Since his early formative education years, Jake developed exceptional proficiency in technological tools to advance architectural design. His approach is rooted in a thorough understanding of lifestyle, culture and history.

During his studies at the University of Cape Town, Jake was ranked first in his class. Some of his independent projects include prospective designs for a chef's cabin at the university dam, a centre preserving the Kaapse Klopse heritage and a multi-textural home.
