Alex Stewart
Alex is a Nelson Mandela Scholar and Cambridge University graduate with over 20 years of experience in commercial, infrastructural and residential architecture. He has worked on some of the most prestigious projects across the globe including the Heron Tower in London and the Rothermere Institute for American Studies at Oxford University.
As a principal architect at Stewart & Partners, Alex provides creative and strategic direction in close collaboration with the studio team, clients and consultants. He is registered as a professional architect in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Spain. Outside of the practice, Alex has lectured at the University of Cape Town School of Architecture and exhibited at the Milan Trienalle in Italy.
Alex creates sustainable and socially responsible architecture that enables meaningful connections between humans, nature and the urban landscape. His designs are inspired by the beauty and complexity of nature.
